Dinosaur footprints coloring page
- Dinosaurs
- Tracing Practice
- Free
A trail of three-toed footprints crossing the page in dashed lines. Children trace each print in order, which turns pencil practice into following a track — and the last one is twice the size of the first.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 14 numbered areas and a key of 5 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Dinosaur footprints coloring page
Trace them in order, first to last, and the sheet stops being pencil practice and becomes a track to follow. The prints grow as they cross the page, so mention that something was walking towards whoever is holding the paper. Afterwards, put a bare foot next to the biggest print and compare: that comparison is the part children repeat to other people. Two copies are worth printing here, because the second one usually gets walked along with a finger rather than a pencil.
