Privacy Policy
ColoriZoo turns a photo or a written idea into a printable coloring page. This page explains what happens to your photo or description, what we hold, and how to have it removed. If anything here is unclear, write to us — the address at the bottom reaches a person.
Who we are
ColoriZoo is the service at colorizoo.com, operated by Nexalify Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, at Room D07, 8/F, Kai Tak Factory Building, No. 99 King Fuk Street, San Po Kong, Hong Kong. We decide what happens to the information described below, which under European and UK data protection law makes us its controller. You can reach us at support@colorizoo.com.
What we collect
There is no account to create. We never ask for your name, your address or your phone number. What we hold is:
- the photo you upload or the text description you write, and the coloring pages made from it;
- a random identifier your browser keeps, used for one purpose — counting how many free pages you have made today;
- a one-way hash of your IP address, counted the same way, so that clearing the browser identifier does not simply reset the count. We store the hash rather than deliberately writing the raw address into the quota counter. Hashing reduces direct identifiability but does not make the information anonymous;
- ordinary web and application records handled by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and our systems. Depending on the request, these may include an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, a job identifier, response status and diagnostic details. Our application logs do not contain uploaded image bytes or full text descriptions.
If you write to us, we keep your message so that we can answer it and so that we have a record of what you asked for.
What we do with your photo or description
Your photo or description is used to make your coloring pages or school posters. School-poster instructions are sent to our model provider and stored with the generated designs. Remove student names, school identifiers and contact information before submitting an assignment. We do not sell this content, publish it or use it to train any model. We may also use it in the limited circumstances described below to respond to your requests, protect the service and its users, enforce these terms or comply with law.
To make the page we send your photo or description to third-party model providers, which do the drawing on our behalf. They receive it only for that purpose.
No one at ColoriZoo reviews uploaded photos or descriptions as a matter of routine. We may open them when you ask us to, when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or a security issue, or when the law requires us to do so.
Where your files are kept
Photos, descriptions and finished pages sit in private storage. It is not browsable, nothing is listed publicly, and a finished page can be reached only through the unguessable link you are given after it is made. Treat that link the way you would treat the page itself: anyone you send it to can open it. The description itself is not shown on the result page.
Our servers run on Cloudflare's network. Your files and requests may therefore be handled in countries other than your own, including the United States. We are based in Hong Kong, so on the occasions we do open a file ourselves, it is opened from there.
Removing your photos and pages
We keep your photo or description and the pages made from it until you ask us to remove them. There is no timer on this material and nothing is swept up on a schedule — removal is something you ask for, and then we do it.
To have a page removed, send us its link — the address in your browser while you are looking at it — at support@colorizoo.com. That one link identifies the finished page and the photo or description it was made from, so a single message covers everything associated with that generation. We reply when it is done.
If you no longer have the link, write to us anyway and describe what you uploaded and roughly when. We will try to locate it, but because there is no account we may be unable to identify the material or verify that you are authorised to control it.
Cookies and tracking
We and third-party analytics, error-monitoring and performance providers use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and diagnose faults. They may receive cookie or online identifiers, an IP address and approximate location derived from it, browser and device information, page addresses, referral sources, interactions, performance data, error messages and shortened stack traces. A result-page address contains its random result identifier. Error reports remove query strings and replace result identifiers before they are sent. We do not deliberately put photo bytes, descriptions or the identifier that counts free pages into analytics or diagnostic events. You can block these technologies in your browser or with a content blocker.
Disclosure, legal requests and security
In addition to the service providers described above, we may disclose information when we reasonably believe this is necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect the rights, property or safety of ColoriZoo, our users or the public; investigate fraud, abuse or a security incident; or complete a merger, financing, reorganisation, acquisition or sale of assets. A successor may receive information as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your result link private: anyone you give it to can open the page it identifies.
Photos of children
ColoriZoo is built for adults — parents, carers and teachers — including for making pages from pictures of the children in their care. Please do not upload a photo of a child unless you are that child's parent or guardian, or you have the permission of the person who is.
The service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from a child directly. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, restrict or object to processing, or receive a portable copy. Write to support@colorizoo.com and say what you want. We may ask for information reasonably needed to locate the material and verify your identity or authority. We may be unable to fulfil a request, or may retain information, where an applicable exception or legal obligation permits or requires it.
We normally do not charge for a request. Where the law allows, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline a request that is manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive. You may also complain to the data protection authority available where you live. We would rather you told us first, but that route is yours either way.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date at the top. When a change matters — new recipients of your photo or description, a new kind of tracking — we will say so here in plain words rather than quietly editing a line.
