A tyrannosaurus standing on two legs with a closed mouth and a small wave — the friendly version, with no teeth on show. Thick outlines and a big body make it an easy first dinosaur.

How to color the Friendly T-Rex coloring page

A useful first dinosaur for a child who finds the toothy ones frightening. Colour is completely free here, because nobody actually knows what a tyrannosaurus looked like — the skin colours in books are guesses, and a purple one is no less accurate than a green one. That is worth saying out loud, since it turns a colouring decision into a real one. Do the body in a single crayon, then press harder along the back to suggest a heavier ridge.
