Baby dinosaur hatching coloring page
- Dinosaurs
- Easy Coloring (age 5–7)

A hatchling poking its head and one foot out of a cracked egg. Big rounded shapes, a jagged shell edge that is fun to follow, and no long limbs to keep track of.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 22 numbered areas and a key of 4 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Baby dinosaur hatching coloring page
The jagged shell edge is the part children go back over, so let them: following that zigzag with a pencil is more satisfying than anything else on the sheet. Leave the shell itself white or barely tinted. It is the only pale thing on the page, and the hatchling reads as a hatchling only because something is breaking open around it. Good for a younger sibling working alongside an older one on a harder dinosaur — the shapes are large but the subject is the same.
