Submarine underwater coloring page

A submarine with a raised periscope, a row of portholes and rivets along the hull, with bubbles rising past it. The portholes can each hold a different color, and the rivets keep a felt tip busy.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 24 numbered areas and a key of 7 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Submarine underwater coloring page
Give each porthole a different colour and the hull will look lit from inside, which is a lot of effect for very little work. The rivets are for a fine tip and are best done in one sitting while the hand is steady — there are enough of them that stopping halfway leaves a visible seam. Leave the bubbles white and let the water pass behind them; a coloured bubble stops being air and becomes a dot.
