Starfish on the sand coloring page
- Sea animals
- Tracing Practice
- Free
A five-armed starfish resting on rippled sand, drawn in dashes with dotted texture across the arms. Five straight-ish strokes out from a center is about the simplest tracing shape there is.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 13 numbered areas and a key of 5 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Starfish on the sand coloring page
If only one tracing sheet gets printed, print this one first. Five strokes running outward from a single point is the shape a hand can manage before it can manage anything else, and each arm is short enough to finish in one breath without the line drifting. Let the dotted texture go — it is optional and dotting it turns a confident sheet into a fiddly one. Save the sand ripples for a second copy, once the arms come out clean.
