A crab on a flat rock with both claws raised and eyes up on stalks. Symmetry makes this an easy one to plan — whatever happens to the left claw has to happen to the right.

How to color the Crab on a rock coloring page

Use the symmetry as a plan rather than a constraint: do the whole left side first, then copy it across. Working that way teaches something a busier page cannot, because the second half is a test of whether the first half was noticed. Eyes on stalks are the one part that can be done freely — they are the only asymmetric thing available, so let them point wherever the child wants. The rock underneath is best left grey and quiet.
