Pufferfish puffed up coloring page
- Sea animals
- Easy Coloring (age 5–7)
- Free
A pufferfish inflated into a ball with short spines all over and two round surprised eyes. The spines are the only small shapes on the page, and they can be dotted in with a felt tip rather than colored.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 14 numbered areas and a key of 4 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Pufferfish puffed up coloring page
Dot the spines with a felt tip instead of colouring each one: there are too many to colour and dotting them takes a minute, which keeps the page in the quick category where it belongs. While dotting, there is a fact worth using — the fish does this with water, not air, and it cannot stay puffed for long. That explains the surprised eyes better than anything on the page does, and it is why the drawing is funny rather than fierce.
