Wooden rocking horse coloring page
- Toys
- Classroom Poster
- Free
A rocking horse on curved runners with a painted saddle, a mane drawn strand by strand and wood grain along the rockers. The grain lines are what push this one into poster territory.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 22 numbered areas and a key of 7 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Wooden rocking horse coloring page
Grain lines only work if the pencil follows them. Run every stroke along the length of the rocker, never across it, and use two browns — a light base with a darker second pass in the gaps. That single habit is the difference between wood and a brown shape, and it transfers to every wooden object in the rest of the set. The painted saddle is the one place to be bold: it is paint, not wood, so it is allowed to be any colour at all.
