Squirrel with an acorn coloring page
- Animals
- Classroom Poster
- Free
A squirrel sitting up on its back legs holding an acorn in both front paws, tail arched over its back. A poster page with fur strokes, a patterned tail and a cap on the acorn to fill in separately.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 14 numbered areas and a key of 6 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Squirrel with an acorn coloring page
The fur here is drawn as strokes rather than outlines, so it rewards a pencil used the same way — short marks following the direction of the coat instead of flat filling. The acorn is deliberately small and separate: a cap in one brown, the nut in another, which is a satisfying place to finish. It fits neatly into an autumn or nature topic, and the arched tail gives you something to talk about, since that is what a squirrel actually uses for balance.
