Smiling moon coloring page
- Space
- Easy Coloring (age 5–7)

A crescent moon in profile with a face and a nightcap, three stars beside it. Big and friendly, with the whole moon as one open shape — good for a bedtime page rather than a busy one.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 10 numbered areas and a key of 5 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Smiling moon coloring page
The dark side of a crescent is still there, just unlit — that is the fact this drawing sets up, and it is worth pointing at the shape and saying so. Some children then want to shade the missing part faintly, which is a good instinct and should be allowed. Keep the moon pale and give the nightcap the only pattern on the page, so there is exactly one busy thing to enjoy on a sheet meant for the end of the day.
