Rocket launching coloring page
- Space
- Easy Coloring (age 5–7)

A rocket lifting off with fins, a porthole and a plume of flame and smoke underneath. The flame is drawn as a few nested shapes, which is a neat way to get three colors into one small area.
Color by number version
A color by number version of the same subject, with 8 numbered areas and a key of 6 crayon colors. Each number sits inside its area, never on a line, and the key prints beneath the picture on the same sheet — so it still prints in black and white.

How to color the Rocket launching coloring page
Colour the flame from the inside out: white or pale yellow at the very centre, orange around it, red at the edges. That is the order real flame runs in, hottest in the middle, and it is one of the few places on a colouring page where following the physics also looks best. The smoke below stays grey and vague — the one part of this sheet where being neat makes it worse.
