How to color the Counting apples on a tree coloring page

Count the six first, then colour one and ask how many are still uncoloured. Keep going and the number falls by one each time, which is subtraction arriving through the side door while the actual activity is still colouring apples. The tree is one green and goes last, because a coloured tree behind uncoloured apples makes the counting harder to see.
