Five maple leaves of different sizes, every outline drawn as dashes to trace. Maple leaves have the most corners of any leaf on this site, so this is the page to use once a child is comfortable with curves.

How to color the Autumn maple leaves coloring page

At every corner, stop the pencil, turn the paper, and start again — that is the whole technique for a shape with this many angles, and trying to swivel the wrist instead is why maple leaves come out rounded. Start with the largest leaf while the hand is fresh, because the small ones have corners just as sharp packed into half the space. Five leaves is a lot; two sittings is a fair plan.
