A chef in a tall hat sliding a loaf onto a board, with a rolling pin beside it. The hat is the largest empty shape on the page and stays white in most children's versions, which makes the loaf stand out.

How to color the Chef baking bread coloring page

The loaf is the subject, not the chef, so give it two browns: a darker crust and a paler cut face where the bread has been sliced or scored. That one contrast is what makes bread look baked rather than moulded. The hat stays white and the rolling pin stays wood. If there is flour in the house, the page is a reasonable excuse to use some afterwards — a job page followed by the job is a different afternoon.
